The new supermarket was opened on schedule on Tuesday 6 December by the Mayor of Wellington, Celia Wade-Brown. A large crowd gathered  to finally inspect this facility which has been taking shape very quickly.  The initial reactions were very positive, with particilar comments made on the pleasing appearance and layout.

The shops in stage one are expected to commence opening from February.2012  As yet there are no confirmed tenants, but the developer is negotiating with a number of interested parties to lease them.

Stage two, which comprises the buildings on the Lakewood and Westchester frontages, including the Churton Park Community rooms, does not have a start date set yet.
