News from Annual General Meeting

The AGM was held on Wednesday 18 March 2015, attended by about 50 people and invited guests.

Richard Taylor was re elected to the position of President, along with office holders John Morrison Vice President, Roy Baker Secretary and Elaine Scoble Treasurer.
Other committee members re elected are  Avinash Shrivastava, Dayandra Hettidge, John Tiley, Trevor Burr and Vijay Chandrashekar.

Richard thanked the retiring members Janet Chew and Tania Vincent for their contributions over the past year.

The guest speaker was Fran Wilde, Chair Wellington Regional Council.

She gave an excellent explanation of the current proposal for Local Government reorganisation in the Wellington Region, and answered questions from the floor.

John Morrison provided an explanation of the final outcome of the Churton Park bus consultation process.  Full details and maps are on the CPCA website.  He reiterated that CPCA will continue to be involved in consultation on timetables and bus stop locations.
