New President elected at AGM

The Churton Park Community Association AGM held on Wednesday 15 July 2020 at Amesbury School. Local MPs, and Regional and City Councillors were in attendance at the AGM.

Avinash Shrivastava was elected as President at the AGM. Following were re/elected as members of the Executive Committee unopposed:

Vijay Chandrashekar

Dayandra Hettige

Wade Martelleti

Sanjeeb Panda

John Tiley

Bhawesh Tiwari

Richard Whinam agreed to continue as Auditor.

Previously, Avinash was Secretary of the Churton Park Community Association. He is one of the key organisers of the Churton Park UTSAV event and Community Carols evening.

I bring the skills and experience that I developed in my public service career and community work”, said Avinash. In his acceptance speech, Avinash acknowledged the work done by previous Committees. He remarked that the new Committee was starting from a good base and would continue advocating the needs of Churton Park residents and businesses. His focus will be to make CPCA more proactive and inclusive. He will work with Regional and City Councils for better services, including a bigger community centre to meet the needs of a growing suburb.
